June Betty of the Month: Sunshine Makarow

June brings on the season of stoke– yup, here comes Summer! So it’s only appropriate to celebrate this fun month with a true Betty legend, our long time Ocean Ohana sis, Sunshine Makarow. She’s been a solid part of the Betty Fam since the early days when she was the Publisher of Surf Life for Women Magazine, in which we ran our first Betty ads. She’s a surf soul sister through and through, and emobdies #bettylife like a boss. We go the latest , here’s just a snippet of what she shared…

“My more recent & favorite adventure was in Costa Rica visiting my friends Heather and Cato, I loved checking out what they have built on their land and the gardens they are in the process of building– and a nice swell hit while I was there, so that was a great bonus!”

“Last summer I visited Slovenia and Croatia for a different kind of nature, from the Julian Alps, to Lake Bled, the vast cave system around Postojna in Slovenia to the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the breathtaking series of waterfalls and lakes in central Croatia — it was an awe-inspiring adventure.”

“Freedom really gets me stoked!I am writing this on Memorial Day weekend, and 4th of July is just around the corner — exploring countries of the former communist republic of Yugoslavia was eye opening. Freedom is our God granted right. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is the founding principle of this great nation.
